4 Fields Intensive Training
The O2 hosted a 4 Fields Intensive Training at the center on September 4-6. It was a weekend focused on disciple making, gospel sharing, multiplication, and helping people better understand how all of those pieces work together.
A 4 Fields Intensive is a hands-on training focused on making disciples who make disciples.
It looks at the pattern we see in Jesus’ ministry and throughout the book of Acts. The goal is bigger than simply teaching someone how to share the gospel. It helps us understand the whole process of reaching people, making disciples, developing leaders, and seeing those disciples multiply.
The training is built around four basic fields:
Entry — How do we enter a community, build relationships, pray, and find people who are open to the gospel?
Gospel — How do we clearly share our story and God’s story and help others become confident in sharing the gospel too?
Discipleship — How do we help new believers begin following Jesus, obeying what He teaches, and making disciples themselves?
Church — How do growing disciples gather together and become healthy, reproducing churches?
Leadership and Multiplication — How do we identify and equip leaders so the whole process continues multiplying into more disciples, leaders, and churches?
One simple way to understand the difference between GCT and a 4 Fields Intensive is this:
GCT stands for Gospel Conversation Training. It helps answer the question, “How do I confidently share the gospel with people?”
A 4 Fields Intensive takes that further. It asks, “How do we go from entering a place, to sharing the gospel, to making disciples, to seeing healthy churches formed, leaders developed, and the whole process multiplied?”
At its core, 4 Fields is about moving beyond simply reaching one person. It is about seeing disciples make disciples who make disciples.
We had people coming and going throughout all three days of the training, but we were able to grab a quick group picture with several of those who were there on the final day.
We are thankful for everyone who came, learned, practiced, and took part in the weekend. Our prayer is that what was learned would not stay inside the walls of The O2, but would be lived out in homes, churches, workplaces, schools, and communities.
